„One needs a feel for movement to understand it, not effort”
“The aim [of the Feldenkrais Method] is a person that is organized to move with minimum effort and maximum efficiency, not through muscular strength, but through increased consciousness of how movement works.”
- Dr. Moshé Feldenkrais
While working with the Feldenkrais method® I come into contact with my body as an instrument.
The diversity in the Awareness through movement® class frees my senses and creativity in my own particular way. As with running, my most basic and favorite type of movement, or laying on a mat – sitting or standing- I give my body the space and my full awareness to allow it to grow and expand.
Functional Integration® allows the body to be gently, non-invasively touched and guided through movement by the practitioner/teacher, experiencing new possibilities and connecting paths of movement. I experience how my voice and entire body become tuned for total movement.
As a Feldenkrais practitioner/trainer® I am simultaneously teacher and student. Through the common improvement of our own physical feeling and awareness we learn how to learn, together.
The potential of the Feldenkrais method®appears endless in its variety of uses by people in every walk of life.
While teaching and coaching individually while at the primary learning level and basic methods, I enter into a unique dialogue with the student/client in which space is opened for both of us to improve our individual awareness.
The key for change lies in attentiveness. Higher attentiveness(concentration) enables me to improve my skills and become better aware of and more open in dealing with with my fellow man, colleagues or acting partner.
I would be delighted to introduce you to the paths open to you and would be happy to accompany you in lessons forAwareness in movement®, Functional Integration® and/or also as a running coach.
